Rick Allen

Rick Allen is originally from the West Coast of Florida and has lived in the Bay area for the past 15 years.  He has worked for a number of  financial service, technology, health care and consulting firms over the past several years and now runs security and compliance for an electronic payments company. 

Rick is also an avid practitioner and teacher of yoga.  He got the Scuba bug in 2000 while training for a guided resort dive in Fiji and was first open water certified in 2006.  Rick diving goals include completing Nitrox, advanced open water and  Rescue Diver certifications. Having mostly lived in the sunbelt, Rick loves exploring and diving the Monterey coastline and cold water, especially Point Lobos!  He does prefer the warmth and visibility of southern waters of Santa Barbara Channel Islands and San Diego's "Shipwreck Alley"  Rick often invites other divers to his house in Sunnyvale as a convenient meeting spot on the way to local dives in Monterey.
